Membership Terms and Conditions
- Membership Fees and Basic Terms:
- Terms related to Usage, Cancellation, Validity, Delivery, Transfer of Membership
- Price for 2 Months Individual Membership is AED 99 (excluding VAT)
- Price for 2 Months Company Membership is AED 119 (excluding VAT)
- If you are buying products for use in your house, choose “Individual Membership”
- If you are buying products for use in your office, please choose “Company Membership”
- Membership fees for Companies is higher than Individual membership as Companies tend to buy more quantity and more frequently, the savings will be much more than an Individual membership. Therefore, we charge a higher membership fee for companies.
- The only seller of these memberships is Cognition General Trading LLC.Cognition General Trading LLC has not appointed any one to sell its memberships.Cognition General Trading LLC is not responsible to honour a membership bought by a person from a 3rd Party.
- Once the customer has bought the membership and paid the fees, the membership cannot be cancelled and the membership fees are non-refundable even if the customer chooses not to avail of the membership benefits.
- Membership starts from the date of purchase and lasts for 12 months thereafter.
- Membership for Individuals is ideal for households. Membership for Companies can be taken by any size of company. A company cannot take an individual membership plan and thereafter request for delivery to company address.
- Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to change the membership fees by providing advance notice of 3 months.
- Individual Membership holders can receive deliveries to their home address only.
- Company Membership holders can receive deliveries to their company address only.
- Memberships are non-transferable and cannot be encashed pro-rata wise or in full.
- Membership is available to all qualifying individuals 18 years of age and over. For Company membership, any size of company can sign up for a membership.
- Membership is subject to any and all rules adopted by Cognition General Trading LLC including our privacy policies and practices, and they may be amended from time to time without notice.
- Members cannot request for deliveries to addresses of non-members or to multiple addresses. If upon arrival,Cognition General Trading LLC delivery personnel sees that it is not the address of the member,Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to cancel the delivery and will refund the member their money.
- If your membership account is ever hacked, please reset your password or contact customer service.
- Memberships cannot be resold to another party. If such a unilateral action is done by the member, Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to void that membership.
- Customers are always accorded with respect at all times. It is expected from customers to also respect Cognition General Trading LLC staff.
- Free Trial
- Free Trial of Membership is valid for a limited time of 21 days only. The free trial membership plan is priced at a token rate of AED 1 only. Customers will have to pay for the products purchased during the free trial.
- Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to amend the features of the free trial without prior notice.
- Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to discontinue the free trial without prior notice.
- If the customer is satisfied with the free trial and would like to continue to benefit, customer would have to sign up for a paid membership once the free trial expires.
- The Customer cannot keep changing email addresses/phone numbers to keep using the free trial offer. If this activity is detected, customer’s profile will be deactivated.
- Free Trials allows for deliveries to be done to a single unique address in 10 days.
- If the customer changes email address/phone number several times and free trial deliveries are going to the same address, customer’s profile will be deactivated and requested to sign up for a paid membership.
- The Customer is allowed to use the free trial only once. If the customer attempts to keep using the free trial, their profile will be deactivated and requested to sign up for a paid membership.
- Renewal of Membership
- Membership renewal advice is sent to existing members 15 days prior to expiry of their current membership.
- Existing members can apply for renewal of membership starting from 90 days prior to expiry of the current membership.
- If the member renews their membership before the expiry of the current membership, Membership will be renewed for a further 12 months from their existing membership expiry date.
- Members can renew their membership by logging into their account, clicking on renew membership and following the subsequent steps.
- Disputes and Termination of Membership
- Any Dispute arising with membership, products or service provided by Cognition General Trading LLC is to be resolved amicably between the member and our customer service. If not resolved in the above mentioned way, it is be resolved via arbitration as a first resort.
- If the dispute is not settled by arbitration in 150 days, it has to be settled in the courts of Dubai, UAE. If fault is determined to be of Cognition General Trading LLC, The member agrees that the maximum amount of compensation they can receive from Cognition General Trading LLC is AED 500. If fault is determined to be of the member, Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to claim damages and legal fees from the member along with revoking their membership.
- Memberships can be terminated by Cognition General Trading LLC due to: non-payment of membership dues, non-payment of shopping bill, non-compliance with Cognition General Trading LLC terms and policies. In the above scenario, Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to void the customer’s membership and customer forfeits the membership fee.
- If any party has been found to create a fake membership ID without paying any fees, Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to pursue that party legally in the courts of Dubai, UAE.
- Prices
- Members will have to pay 5% VAT on their bill as per UAE Law.
- Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to amend prices for membership and product prices without any prior notice. Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to set validity of prices.
- Companies are required to provide their UAE VAT TRN number to Cognition General Trading LLC in order to input onto our invoices.
- The member agrees to pay Cognition General Trading LLC any excise or VAT tax applicable that is imposed on the sale price of the items purchased. The member agrees that in the event they fail to pay Cognition General Trading LLC such tax, they will hold Cognition General Trading LLC harmless and indemnify Cognition General Trading LLC from any claim, loss, assessment or expense occasioned by such non-payment.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Prices can be changed due to supply issues or other externalities.
- Customers have to purchase a membership plan, thereafter their membership account will be activated.
- Once the membership plan is activated (one time process), customer can proceed to place their orders.
- Minimum order value is AED 130 for Individual and Company Members
- If a customer intends to use a coupon code, minimum order value is AED 155
- Coupon Codes can be used only once per user
- If a customer intends to use their store credit balance, minimum order value is AED 170. Maximum of AED 30 store credit can be used per transaction.
- Store-credit is encashable to customer only at the time of expiry/cancellation of membership (non-renewal) of membership plan.
- Free Delivery in Dubai
- Cognition General Trading LLC has the right to cancel orders in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- In order to avail of the COD (cash on delivery) discount of 1%, order value must be AED 133 or more
